12 Week Audio Engineering Program

Length: 12 Weeks - 36 hours

This is our most popular program and it combines all 3 of the courses listed below into one.

Our in depth 12 week course covers all areas of audio production and will have you working one-on-one with local bands to record a live session as well as a professional produced single. Students leave the program with a strong understanding of the production process, workflow and recording software. 

This option combines Pro Tools and Digital Audio Production, Recording Studio Operations and Techniques, and Modern Recording and Mixing Techniques into one intense program designed to give you as much hands-on experience as possible.

Digital Audio Production in Pro Tools

Length: 8 Weeks - 16 hours

Tuition Fees: $750. Can be paid in instalments of $250/month

This course starts with the basics of Pro Tools and works into advanced techniques

Topics include:

Starting and Organizing a Session
Recording with Pro Tools
Digital Editing and Mixing Techniques
Working with MIDI and Virtual Instruments
Use of Plug-ins Busses and Auxiliaries
Digital EQ and Effects
Finishing a Session and Creating a Final Mixdown

Recording Studio Operations and Techniques

Pre-Requisites: Pro Tools and Digital Audio Production or equivalent.

Length: 8 Weeks - 16 hours

Tuition Fees: $750. Can be paid in instalments of $250/month

This course looks at the bigger picture of running a studio session and working with musicians. Students will receive hands on experience and have the opportunity to work with a band.

Recording Studio Set-Up and Design
Recording and Producing Techniques
Digital and Analog Mixing Techniques
Basic Mastering Techniques

Modern Recording and Mixing Techniques

Length: 8 Weeks - 16 hours

Tuition Fees: $750. Can be paid in instalments of $250/month

Pre-Requisites: Pro Tools and Digital Audio Production or equivalent and Recording Studio Operations and Techniques or Equivalent.

This course gives students the freedom to run their own session, choose their artist and record an album or EP that will be released for distribution. Students will work under the guidance of a Producer and receive Engineering credits for their work.  This course is very hands on and gives participants the opportunity to put their skills to work.

Advanced Microphone Techniques
Advanced Studio Operations
Advanced Digital Recoding Techniques in Pro Tools
Advanced Analog and Digital Mixing Techniques
Advanced Mastering Techniques
